Landlord Accreditation Scotland is running a training event in partnership with East Lothian Council on 9th February 2010. This is the third course of the Core Standards Training Level 1, based on the Scottish Core Standards for Accredited Landlords & Letting Agents. It is not necessary to have attended the previous courses prior to this one; although the courses are linked the topics are dealt with in such a way that the course can be done in any order.
This course is suitable for anyone who is new to letting property or for those who have been letting property for some time but who are looking for an update on the topics listed below:

· Types of Tenancy
· Executing the Short Assured Tenancy Agreement
· Serving Notice
· Ground for Repossession of Assured Tenancies
· Notice to Quit
· Notice of Proceedings for Possession
· Recovery of Possession of Short Assured Tenancies
· Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations
Venue: Conference Rooms 1&2, East Lothian Council Headquarters John Muir House, Haddington EH41 3HA
Time: 1.30pm - 4.00pm
Cost: £25 plus VAT for accredited landlord. £35 plus VAT for non-accredited landlords
Scottish Association of Landlords (SAL) and Scottish Rural Property & Business Association (SRPBA) members can attend training free of charge as a benefit of being a member of either association.
